Singaraja Literary Festival (SLF) is a celebration of culture and literacy dedicated to reviving the rich literary heritage and intellectual traditions of Singaraja. Centered at Gedong Kirtya, Bali’s first lontar manuscript library, SLF blends art, research, and tradition through workshops, performances, exhibitions, and discussions.
"We believe literature is a bridge connecting the past, present, and future, enabling modern generations to deeply understand their cultural heritage"
Kadek Sonia Piscayanti, Founder SLFOnce the capital of the Lesser Sunda Islands, Singaraja has a long history as a center of intellectual and cultural development. From Buleleng Harbor, a historic gateway for trade, to Gedong Kirtya, home to ancient manuscripts, Singaraja remains a testament to the nation’s evolving culture and literacy.
Through the Singaraja Literary Festival, we are committed to amplifying this potential—not only for local communities but for the world.
